ERIC COOLEY

COACH

Coach Cooley's journey began at Yorktown High School, where he distinguished himself as an All-State football player, showcasing his exceptional talent on the field. Upon graduating, Cooley transitioned to Rutgers University, where he continued to excel, playing Division 1 lacrosse in the prestigious Big 10 Conference. Eric represented the Finland National Lacrosse team in both the 2012 and 2014 World Championships, further solidifying his prowess in the sport. Transitioning into coaching, Coach Cooley's impact was profound. As an assistant coach at Briarcliff High School, he played a pivotal role in guiding the team to their first-ever Section Championship in 2019. Additionally, his tenure with the Preds Coaching Staff spanned eight years, where he dedicated himself to youth development and high school recruiting, leaving an indelible mark on the organization. Under his leadership, the Preds made history as the first team to qualify and compete at the esteemed World Series of Youth Lacrosse.

JOHN SABLE

COACH

Jonathan Sable has been in coaching since his senior year at Manhattanville in 2011. Jon started playing lacrosse at a young age and grew up on Long Island playing at Lynbrook High School.
Following his high school career, Jon continued to play lacrosse at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. During this time, he was frequently helping out youth clinics as one of his goals was to see lacrosse expand. During his time at Manhattanville, Jon played defense and in his senior year stepped between the pipes to play goalie.
It was also during this time, Jon was given an opportunity to start up a program at the Rye Neck School District. He began working to develop the program and brought the team from a middle school team to a varsity program in 5 years. He takes great pride in teaching the fundamentals of the game and helping players develop their skills. Jon has been able to build Rye Neck up to a competitive program and are currently coming off their best season in program history.
On top of coaching varsity lacrosse, Jon has been coaching for Rye Youth Lacrosse since 2016 and has also helped out with the White Plains Youth Program. He has also had the opportunity to coach at Showtime which is a premier recruiting showcase.
Through his time with Predators, he has been able to help kids rise through the ranks and has helped a handful of players get recruited to play lacrosse in college.
Jon is a passionate educator who wants to help all kids succeed. He currently teaches History at Rye High School.

NICK MARIANO

COACH

Played at Yorktown where he was an all American and team captain his senior year. Went on to play at Syracuse where he was a 2 time all American. Played professionally in the MLL and was selected 4th overall by the Florida Launch. Nick has been coaching with Preds for 6 years.

2026AA Curriculum

· Fall and summer practices are held at SUNY Purchase
· 3 paid coaches per team.
· 45 Preds events throughout the year plus recruiting consultation services with the option to purchase an additional 24 winter sessions.

Fall
· 7 team practices with faceoff training included
· 7 weekday skills training sessions (field players & goalies)
· 1 scrimmage
· 3 tournaments with film included

Winter (A LA CARTE OPTION)
· 24 skills training/workout sessions at Velocity Sports at 5 Browns Lane in Hawthorne, NY

Spring
· Players compete with their respective HS teams

Summer
· 15 weekday team practices
· 6 goalie & faceoff training sessions
· 4 tournaments with filming included
