JEFF BARNARD

COACH

This year is Jeff Barnard’s 26th season as Mamaroneck High Schools’ head varsity lacrosse coach. Coach Barnard played lacrosse for and graduated from New Canaan High School in Connecticut. Prior to coaching in Mamaroneck, Coach Barnard worked as a co-head coach at King Low Heywood Thomas School in Stamford, CT. Coach Barnard has coached for several regional club lacrosse programs and we are lucky to have him with us at Predators. Additionally, Coach Barnard has run extensive clinics with Larchmont Mamaroneck Youth Lacrosse (LMYL) and has coached LMYL’s 7th & 8th grade travel teams. Coach Barnard won the 2012 US Lacrosse Hudson Valley Coach of the Year Award and the Section 1 Class A Coach of the Year Awards in 2012 and 2019. Coach Barnard has coached 5 US Lacrosse Academic All Americans and 7 US Lacrosse All Americans. He has coached over 50 Mamaroneck High School Lacrosse players who have gone on to play collegiate lacrosse and has helped lead the program to 9 Section 1 Class A Championship appearances. Coach Barnard is special education teacher at Hommocks Middle School and currently works as the Mamaroneck Schools’ fall assistant athletic director.

JOHN NICOL

COACH

John currently serves as the Boys J.V. Lacrosse Coach at Yorktown High School, fostering the growth and development of young athletes. Prior to this, from 2009 to 2012, John held the position of Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Vassar College, where he contributed to significant milestones in the program's history, including achieving the most wins in program history in 2009 and 2011, as well as securing the first Liberty League title in 2011. Johns coaching journey also includes a tenure as Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Pace University from 2003 to 2004, during which the team achieved notable national rankings, reaching 4th in the U.S. in 2003 and 8th in 2004. Furthermore, Coach Nicol's extensive experience dates back to his role as Boys Lacrosse Coach at Yorktown High School from 1988 to 2002, where he led the team to remarkable success, clinching the Section 1 title 14 times and attaining 5 NYS Regional Championships.

ANDREW NICOL

COACH

Andrew Nicol returns to his alma mater for his 5th season with the Brewers in 2021. Prior to Vassar, Andrew was the Director of Lacrosse Operations for the University of Richmond (2015) and the Defensive Coordinator for Stevens Tech (2017-2019). In between his stints in Richmond and Hoboken, Nicol coached Vassar with CoachMcCreery during the Brewers most successful season to date. They were honored as the 2017 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year as the Brewers made the playoffs for the first time in program history. Nicol will focus on the defense and goalies this season.
While at Stevens, Nicol went 34-6 and won the Empire 8 Conference Championship in 2018, advancing all the way to the NCAA 3rd Round. For their efforts, Nicol and the Stevens Coaching Staff won the Empire 8 Coaching Staff of the Year in 2018 and 2019 while also being the IMCLA Division 3 East Coaching Staff of the Year. Nicol coached 11 All-Americans and 27 All-Conference Players in his 2 seasons with Stevens. Stevens was ranked in the top 20 all 2 years Nicol was on his staff.

Nicol also coaches for the Predators Lacrosse Club out of Westchester, NY. As a goalie, Andrew was a 4-year starter and 3-year captain for the Brewers before graduating in 2014 with a degree in Economics. He was also selected as the 2013 Vassar College Betty Richey Award Winner for VC Male Student-Athlete of the Year. He still holds school records for goaltending wins and saves. Nicol's father, John, also coached the Brewers from 2008-2012. Andrew attended Brewster High School in New York.

2025AA Curriculum

· Fall and summer practices are held at SUNY Purchase
· 3 paid coaches per team.
· 45 Preds events throughout the year plus recruiting consultation services with the option to purchase an additional 24 winter sessions.

Fall
· 7 team practices with faceoff training included
· 7 weekday skills training sessions (field players & goalies)
· 1 scrimmage
· 3 tournaments with film included

Winter (A LA CARTE OPTION)
· 24 skills training/workout sessions at Velocity Sports at 5 Browns Lane in Hawthorne, NY

Spring
· Players compete with their respective HS teams

Summer
· 15 weekday team practices
· 6 goalie & faceoff training sessions
· 4 tournaments with filming included
