STEVE SETTEMBRINO

COACH

Coach Settembrino, just named the Head Coach at St Paul’s, will be joining Predators Lacrosse as a director. Coach Settembrino coached collegiately at Mercyhurst, Binghamton and his alma mater UMBC. At Mercyhurst, Coach Settembrino helped guide the Lakers to the 2011 Division 2 National Championship. During his playing career for the Retrievers UMBC won 
the America East Championship in 2005, 2008, 2009 
and advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals in 2007. Coach Settembrino was also named the Retriever’s Unsung Hero in 2009. Coach Settembrino grew up in Yorktown NY, a lacrosse hotbed. While at Yorktown, Coach Settembrino was a 4 year varsity letter winner, a 2003 NYS Champion, 
a two year captain and a 2004 All American.

CHARLIE CIPRIANO

COACH

Charlie grew up in Long Island, and attended Herricks High School where he was a four year varsity starter. During his time at Herricks, Charlie was a 4x All-County Selection, and in 2008 was named a 2nd Team All American as well as the Nassau County Goalie of the Year. Over the course of 4 years, Charlie finished with 1,366 career saves which is also the All-Time National High School record. He served as his teams Captain during his Junior and Senior seasons as well as earning Herricks’ Most Outstanding Athlete in 2008. After high school, Charlie went on to play at Fairfield University where he helped the team crack a top 20 national ranking and served as a captain during his senior season. As a three year starter, Charlie earned All-American (2012), ECAC Goalie of the Year (2011, 2012), and Scholar All-American (2012) honors. In the 2012 MLL Draft he was selected by the Denver Outlaws. After three seasons and one MLL championship with the Denver Outaws he finished the 2015 season with his second Championship while playing for the New York Lizards. This past season he was the starting goalie for the Charlotte Hounds and led them to their second ever playoff appearance. He currently serves as a Guidance Counselor and lacrosse coach at Rye High School.

Within our Predators organization, we meticulously identify a pool of players who exhibit exceptional potential to represent our National Team. Our Maryland and New York directors and coaching staff undertake a detailed selection process, meticulously evaluating each candidate to ensure that only the most deserving individuals are chosen to proudly represent our organization on the national stage. This rigorous process is designed to assemble a team that not only demonstrates outstanding skill but also embodies the values and ethos of our organization, ensuring that our National Team excels both on and off the field during national events.
